Irritating Linking Behavior
A while back, I was bitching on the Twitter about how some blogs link to their own coverage of topics but don’t provide a link to the actual damn product being discussed. Engadget is the biggest offender in my feed reader. They expect me to follow their breadcrumb trail of tags until I find that one time they actually linked outside their domain. Bullshit.

And I thought I was the only one irate about this!
Anyway, I don't click their links anymore, I either click the "Read" links or do my own googling.
Also, are they also blogsmithmedia.com? I've noticed that all their images are hosted there.

you realize the Read link takes you to the source of the story-- an external link-- every time, right?

@superpixel I actually did not realize that. It's still not the most obvious functionality. Plus, the tags are linked up at the end of the post so linking them in the body of the post isn't necessary.

Jamie, I'll ping the Engadget crew for you on this.
